This course deals with the fundamental principles, tools, and techniques of the financial operation involved in the management of business enterprises. It covers the basic framework and tools for financial analysis and financial planning and control, and introduces basic concepts and principles needed in making investment and financing decisions. Introduction to investments and personal finances are also covered in the course. Using the dual-learning approach of theory and application, each chapter and module engages the learners to explore all stages of the learning process from knowledge, analysis, evaluation, and application to preparation and development of financial plans and programs suited for a small business.
The course studies the role of the travel agency and Tour Operator in the Tourism Industry, leading to a better understanding of the trade and its internal workings, the role of each component in offering cost effective and good “value for money” products for its clients. It also includes topics such as tour products and its efficient development and marketing as well as a travel agency and tour operator’s organizations and functions. In addition to lecture classes, the students are exposed to the skills required in the travel trade, such as interpersonal and communication skills, terminologies, documentation, procedures and systems used
