This course introduces students to the contemporary world by examining the multifaceted phenomenon of globalization. Using the various disciplines of the social sciences, it examines the economic, social, political, technological, and other transformations that have created an increasing awareness of the interconnectedness of peoples and places around the globe. To this end, the course provides an overview of the various debates in global governance, development, and sustainability. Beyond exposing the student to the world outside the Philippines, it seeks to inculcate a sense of global citizenship and global ethical responsibility.

Criminal Law Book 1 primarily focuses on the RPC of the Philippines, covering the general principles of criminal law, including felonies, circumstances affecting criminal liability, and penalties. It delves into the nature of crimes, who can be held criminally responsible, and how penalties are classified, applies and executed. Furthermore, the course examines factors that can absolve, mitigate, or aggravate criminal liability, as well as the extinction of criminal and civil liabilities.

A Criminal Procedure course provides a comprehensive study of the rules and procedures governing criminal investigations, prosecutions and trials, ensuring fair and just legal processes. It covers topics from initial arrest to sentencing, including court procedures, evidence handling, and legal rights of defendants.
