The English for Academic and Professional Purposes course deals with developing the students’ English communication skills for academic and professional purposes. It includes applying the appropriate reading strategies for a better understanding of academic texts; and the principles and uses of different oral and written discourses suited to their field of specialization.

The course deals with developing the students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills through basic concepts of statistics, random variables and probability distributions, normal distribution, sampling and sampling distributions, estimation of parameters, tests of hypothesis, correlation and regression analyses. At the end of the course, the students will be able to determine, analyze and interpret basic concepts of statistics, random variables and probability distributions, normal distribution, sampling and sampling distributions, estimation of parameters, tests of hypothesis, correlation and regression analyses for them to be a God loving, intelligent, disciplined, creative, productive and nationalistic individuals.
