This course deals with the development of listening and speaking skills and strategies for effective communication in various situations. It includes the nature and elements of communication, functions of communication, communicative competence strategies in various speech situations, and types of speeches. At the end of the course, the students will be able to use nonverbal cues, prosodic features of speech for effective communication in solving problems, reasoning, and connecting with others to actualize faith in God, collaboration, perseverance, creativity, intelligence, altruism and nationalism.

ORAL COMMUNICATION IN CONTEXT (11 HUMSS 8)
