Grade 12

This course deals with developing the students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills through research. It includes understanding the importance of research in daily life, characteristics and kinds of research across fields; and applying the ethics in presenting a research.  

Contemporary Phillipine Arts from the Regions
Grade 12

This course explores the diverse and dynamic landscape of contemporary arts across the various regions of the Philippines. It examines how local culture, history, and social issues influence artistic expressions in visual arts, music, dance, theater, and literature. Students will learn to recognize regional artists and movements, analyze artworks within their cultural contexts, and appreciate how traditional practices are transformed into modern forms. Through discussions, performances, and community-based activities, the course encourages a deeper understanding of Filipino identity and creativity in the contemporary era.

🔔12-HUMSS & GAS: CREATIVE NONFICTION 24-25
Grade 12

🔔 Focusing on formal elements and writing techniques, including autobiography and blogging, among others, the subject introduces the students to the reading and writing of creative nonfiction as a literary form. The subject develops students' skills in reading and thinking critically and creatively, which will help them to be imaginative readers and writers.

Grade 12

🔔 The course provides opportunities for students to discover patterns and extract meanings from emerging trends. It aids in developing their critical and creative thinking skills—essential tools for decision-making and understanding “ethics of care.” Global trends in the 21st century are examined and are either accepted or rejected on a sound set of criteria. Students will be asked to create and analyze scenarios that will challenge them to: (1) formulate their stances on issues or concerns; (2) propose interventions; and (3) formulate alternative futures. The students will realize the interconnections between their neural connections and social realities.

🔔 The Media and Information Literacy course introduces the learners to basic understanding of media and information as channels of communication and tools for the development of individuals and societies. It also aims to develop students to be creative and critical thinkers, as well as responsible users and competent producers of media and information.

CAREGIVING 12
Grade 12

This course is designed for a student to develop knowledge, skills, and attitude to perform the tasks on Caregiving.  It covers core competencies namely: (1) providing care and support to elderly; (2) providing care and support to people with special needs; (3) maintaining healthy and safe environment; and (4) responding to emergency in relation to caregiving as prescribed in the TESDA Training Regulation.

🔔 The course aims to develop practical and creative skills in reading, writing, and thinking critically and creatively that will help them to be imaginative readers and writers; introduce students to formal elements and fundamental techniques of writing both fiction, such as poetry and drama, and nonfiction, such as autobiography and blogging, among others; and discuss the use of such techniques by well-known authors in a variety of genres.
